The Light Your Fire program is comparable to John Gray's Men Are From Mars/Women are From Venus, but the message is from a woman's perspective. And the program does a good job addressing some of the fundamental differences between men and women and how to utilize those differences to help you succeed in marriage. If you’re familiar with the Mars/Venus message, however, some of the information may strike you as repetitve. Also, if you and your spouse don’t fit those typical male/female roles, you may not like the program and it may not help you.

The Light Your Fire program has a CD set for women and another for men. If you want to go off into your respective caves and work on your marriage alone then this program might work for you. But if you want to sit down and do a program together then this program is not a good option for your marriage.

We have heard that the author, Ellen Kreidman, used to be more available for private sessions, but seems to be semi-retired now. So if you do like the program and want more of her you might be out of luck. On the other hand, there are hundreds of nationally trained Mars/Venus therapists who might be able to follow up with you in the same type of effort.

Keep in mind that this is not so much a marriage program as much as a straight CD set. So if you go with this program you might want to supplement your efforts with an more interactive approach too.
